	Meet The Doctor Robert D. Willix, Jr., M.D. is a former cardiac surgeon and a practicing physician since 1969. Dr. Willix has earned national recognition as a healer, teacher, speaker, and author. He graduated Alpha Omega Alpha (Medical Honors Society) from the University of Missouri Medical School. Since completing his Internship and Residency from the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, he received Board Certification in Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery. As the first Board Certified Heart Surgeon in the State of South Dakota he started their first Open Heart program in 1977. Dr. Willix has performed thousands of open-heart surgery operations, and taught at the medical school level at University of South Dakota and the University of Miami Medical Centers. In 1981 he was recruited as the Director of Cardiac Rehabilitation and Human Performance for four hospitals in a major hospital district in South Florida. Dr. Robert Willix is an internationally recognized pioneer in Integrative Medicine. His Integrative Medicine Practice includes alternative healing from Ayurvedic Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Homeopathic Medicine and Energetic Medical Healing arts of the Andean Inka-Shamanic practitioners. He has received his Rites of Passage in Andean Shamanism as well as being certified in Age Management Medicine, which he now incorporates in his Integrative Practice.
